Buffalo Bills quickly signed running back Antonio Gibson just 18 hours after he was released by the New England Patriots.
Gibson, 27 years old, is considered one of the most versatile running backs in the NFL with outstanding rushing and receiving abilities.
He began his NFL career after being drafted in the 3rd round by the Washington Commanders in 2020.

At Washington, Gibson quickly established his position with the 2020 season recording 795 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
The 2021 season was his peak when he achieved 1,037 rushing yards, 7 rushing TDs, along with 294 receiving yards and 3 receiving TDs.
In 2022, Gibson continued to contribute 546 rushing yards, 3 TDs, and 353 receiving yards with 2 TDs.
In 2023, his role decreased but he still had 265 rushing yards, 1 TD, and 389 receiving yards with 2 TDs.
Moving to the Patriots in 2024, Gibson recorded 538 rushing yards, 1 TD, and 206 receiving yards.

The 2025 season was interrupted by an ACL injury, playing only 5 games with 106 rushing yards and 1 TD.
In total, Gibson accumulated 3,287 rushing yards and 24 rushing TDs in his career.
He also has 1,495 receiving yards and 7 receiving TDs, raising the total scrimmage yards to 4,782.
Additionally, Gibson contributed 1 return touchdown, bringing the total TDs to 32.

Gibson stands out with his speed and kickoff return ability, once achieving 1,407 return yards.
The Bills hope Gibson will add strength to the offense, especially after injuries to the main running backs.
Head Coach Sean McDermott highly appreciates Gibson’s versatility in the offensive system.
This quick signing shows that the Bills are aggressively building the roster for the 2026 season.

Gibson is expected to undergo a medical check before officially joining Buffalo.

BREAKING: Buffalo Bills Star Threatens Retirement Over Dolphins Trade — “I’m Not Wearing Aqua and Orange”

Buffalo, NY — Following a dominant season that ended with a 13-4 record, clinching the AFC East title and advancing to the AFC Championship where they fell to the Broncos, the Buffalo Bills have sparked offseason buzz by exploring trade options for one of their young wide receivers.
Reports confirm his representatives are already engaging with potential suitors across the league.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport revealed that multiple teams are monitoring the situation closely, especially after his role fluctuated during the playoff campaign.
With Buffalo solidifying its receiving corps around Khalil Shakir and emerging young talent around Josh Allen, the team views him as expendable to manage cap space and acquire assets.
That player is Keon Coleman, the dynamic wide receiver selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, who has been a big-play threat in the Bills’ offense.
In the 2025 season, Coleman appeared in 16 games, recording 52 receptions for 748 yards and 6 touchdowns, contributing to the Bills’ deep playoff run despite some inconsistencies.
What stunned fans most, however, was his passionate response to speculation about a potential move to division rival Miami.
Coleman made his stance clear in a recent social media post that quickly went viral.
“IF THEY TRADE ME TO THE DOLPHINS, I’LL RETIRE ON THE SPOT. I WASN’T BORN IN BUFFALO, BUT I BECAME A BILL HERE. I’VE BLED RED, WHITE AND BLUE THROUGH EVERY ROUTE, EVERY SETBACK,”
Coleman stated.
He doubled down with stronger words: “AND I’LL NEVER PUT ON AQUA AND ORANGE – NOT FOR MONEY, NOT FOR SNAPS, NOT FOR ANYTHING. LOYALTY STILL MEANS SOMETHING TO ME, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO OUR BIGGEST RIVAL.”
While a trade to Miami is off the table, playoff contenders like the
Chiefs, Eagles, Ravens, and Dolphins are reportedly circling.
Coleman’s blend of size, speed, and contested-catch ability continues to make him a high-upside target despite ups and downs this past season.
For Buffalo, the decision reflects a commitment to sustaining the championship-contending core around Allen and younger pieces.
For Coleman, the focus shifts to finding the right home via trade—anywhere but South Beach.
